Recreational games and playground activities will be part of the agenda for AAP’s mega meeting on Wednesday, which will be attended by 1,000 observers and party MLAs from across the state at CT Group of Institutions in Jalandhar.While Jalandhar has been rocked by heightened political tensions and AAP protests following the exit of seven AAP MLAs, the Wednesday meeting will not be all business. It will include fun and games to lighten the mood.The meeting will begin at 10 am with an inaugural session, followed by physical and mental exercises, including meditation, breathing exercises, and games, both in open and shaded areas.After an afternoon break and lunch, a marathon session will be held with meetings and interactions with MLAs and observers. Punjab Affairs in-charge Manish Sisodia and Punjab AAP president Aman Arora will preside over the meeting. AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and state CM Bhagwant Mann will join via video conferencing.The proceedings are expected to continue until 4-5 pm.A special activity session on the sprawling two-acre playground of the university will see party observers take part in games and recreation.A large poster reading “Volunteer Milni” has also been put up at the 2,000-seat auditorium of CT Group of Institutions, where the mega meet is expected to host 1,000-1,200 AAP leaders.A party leader said, “The past week has been tense for all. To lighten it up, volunteers will take part in a number of games. There will be sessions of ‘Tug of War’ and ‘Pass the Ring’, for which arrangements have been made at the university’s playground. Batches of observers will play the games in sets.The youth wing of AAP has seen such activities before. But this is the first time that an event of such importance under the Punjab Affairs in-charge will include them.
