A SCHOOLGIRL has been convicted of child sex offences after downloading and sharing sick images of kids online.
The 12-year-old logged onto the gamers’ social media platform Discord in the hope of finding friends.

But instead she was “snared” into joining a paedophiles’ chatroom.
She began acquiring disturbing videos of extreme pornography and bestiality, one featuring an individual having sex with a chicken and another showing children self-harming.
The girl subsequently amassed a library of more than 200 illegal photos of youngsters over a two year period and distributed one image of a child being sexually abused on Snapchat.
This comes as Labour said today said it will force internet restrictions on under 16s, regardless of the outcome of a consultation on a social media ban.

Education Minister Olivia Bailey told the Commons that the Government “will impose some form of age or functionality restrictions” on social media for under-16s regardless of what the consultation says.
The Government’s concession follows pressure from the House of Lords over the issue, led by Tory Education Minister and academy chain founder Lord Nash.
The schoolgirl, who lives in Congleton, Cheshire, was detained after police received a tip off about the images and traced her through her internet provider (IP) address.
Officers raided her family home she shares with her parents, seizing her mobile phone and other devices.
They found 57 images in most serious category A, 54 in category B and 120 in category C.
She was also found to have distributed a category A image when she was 13.
At Crewe Youth Court the youngster, now 15, broke down in tears and sobbed uncontrollably as she admitted eight charges.
One of possession of extreme pornography, three of possession of indecent images, three of making indecent images and one of distribution of an indecent image.
She was told to complete a one year referral order and pay costs and a surcharge of £111.
The court heard the girl was of good character and her parents had since placed restrictions on her using devices.
In mitigation, defence lawyer Jim Edwards said: “She deeply regrets her actions and is very very sorry,” he said.
