DELIVEROO has announced a major change to its app that will help users get a table at nearby restaurants.
The delivery app will now let customers make restaurant reservations and see which places have availability in real-time.

The Deliveroo Restaurants feature is initially launching just in London.
It will give foodies in the capital access to tables at hundreds of top restaurants including Dishoom, Dove, Hide, Kricket, Barrafina, Kolae and Murano.
Users can see how busy restaurants are in real-time so they can book last-minute if they want.
They can also opt-in for notifications if a fully booked restaurant receives a last-minute cancellation.

You’ll be able to book for groups of up to eight people.
Plus, your details will autofill from your Deliveroo account so it should be quick and easy to make a reservation.
The feature will use technology from data platform SevenRooms.
Suzy McClintock, VP consumer and new verticals at Deliveroo, said: “This launch is about supporting restaurants to grow in new ways. Whether it’s a Deliveroo order or a reservation in-store, we want to drive discovery, demand and revenue across every channel.”
But there is some bad news for Deliveroo customers too – the delivery service is ditching its “on-time promise” for Plus Gold members.
Under the promise, Plus Gold members were compensated with £5 credit if their order arrived more than 15 minutes late.
However Deliveroo has lowered the monthly cost of the premium subscription from £7.99 per month to £4.99.
A Deliveroo spokesperson said: “We are constantly looking at ways to improve our Plus subscription to ensure customers can extract the most value from every order…
“The updated membership focuses on the benefits our customers use most, including free delivery and reduced service fees, and is available at a lower monthly price.” Our care team is available to support any customers who experience order issues.”
