Toby Carvery Romford at The Brewery Shopping Centre will permanently close its doors after service today.
The 40-year-old British carvery chain has over 150 branches across the UK.
Toby Carvery hopes to redeploy as many staff as possible to other nearby branches as the property is returned to the landlord.
The closure comes only a month after a Frankie & Benny’s branch closed in The Brewery after the restaurant’s lease had expired.

Back in February, another Toby Carvery branch was closed for good in St Mark’s Square in Lincoln.
A spokesperson for Toby Carvery told the Romford Recorder when the closure was announced: “We can confirm the Toby Carvery at Romford will close on May 10 after service and the site will be returned to the landlord.
“This decision has been taken after careful consideration and as part of the continual review of our estate and we are in consultation with the team and hope to redeploy as many employees as possible at our other nearby businesses.
“We’d like to thank our loyal guests and the brilliant team at Romford for their support.”
Carvery lovers have been redirected to nearby locations such as the Toby Carvery Moby Dick in Chadwell Heath, Woodford Green or Brentwood.
The closest location, based in Chadwell Heath, is only a 10-minute drive away from the former Romford branch.
