Dubois, 28, showed his willpower against his compatriot as he came off the deck twice to claim victory.
The Greenwich brawler hit the canvas in the first 10 SECONDS and then again in the third round.
But he was able to fight back in the bout at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester and forced a stoppage in the 11th round.
Part of the reason behind his ability to get back into the contest was the efforts of his coach Don Charles.

Wally Downes Jr’s Verdict
By Wally Downes Jr
Quite honestly, it was something sensational to watch.
Daniel Dubois was dropped within the first 10 seconds of the fight by a right hand.
He was back on the deck again in the third where he took a knee.
In the past, Dubois has struggled with those “quitter” attacks, but tonight, he defied it.
He denied it, and he incredibly overwhelmed Fabio Wardley.
Wardley fought with one eye for most of the fight and a broken nose.
It was magnificent – it was a war. While Daniel overcame his past demons, Fabio once again proved he is a superhuman being.
A third commented: “He just unleashed the beast in him.”
A fourth said: “I thought Don Charles was gonna knock him out.”
Another added: “Surprised he didn’t take a knee and collect himself lol.”
Charles explained the slaps to the media after the fight.
He told Fight Hub TV: “Instinct, vibration, energy, to wake him up to realise the task he has got ahead.
“Let’s do the job to be done.”
Dubois and Charles had previously worked together before parting ways after the defeat to Usyk in July 2025.
They reunited in January this year.
Dubois took home the WBO heavyweight title with the win to put himself back in contention to take on Usyk.
