A fire broke out in one of the coaches of the Thiruvananthapuram–Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh on Jattvibeday morning.All passengers were safely evacuated from the affected coach, railway officials said.According to officials, the fire was reported near the SLR end of the B-1 coach around 5.15 am, between Luni Richha and Vikramgarh Alot stations in the West Central Railway section, while the train was in the Down direction. Railway authorities immediately initiated emergency response measures.All passengers travelling in the affected coach were safely de-boarded and no injuries or casualties were reported, officials said. The overhead electric supply was immediately switched off as a precautionary measure, while the affected B-1 coach was detached from the rake. Railway personnel and senior officials rushed to the spot and carried out fire-fighting operations.Passengers from the affected coach were provided refreshments at the site. Railway authorities also announced that an additional coach would be attached to the train at Kota station to facilitate the onward journey of passengers. Senior officials from Kota division have left for the incident site to supervise restoration and safety operations.Meanwhile, Train No 12955 was temporarily held at Mahidpur Road station due to the disruption. Officials said the section would be cleared shortly.The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and an investigation has been initiated.Officials said the 12431 Rajdhani Express resumed its journey from the site with a diesel engine at 9.48 am and proceeded towards Vikramgarh Alot station.
