AS the spring wedding and party season gets going, a brighter smile is back near the top of my beauty list.

If you’ve looked into teeth whitening before, though, you’ll know it can be a minefield, full of eye-watering prices and claims that don’t really hold up.

MySweetSmile’s Teeth Whitening Powder arrived in 2021 and quickly became Amazon’s best-selling teeth-whitening brand.

I used the best-selling powder twice a week for four weeks.

MySweetSmile Teeth Whitening Powder: £20.99 (was £29.99) at MySweetSmile

Five years on, it’s still going strong, with more than 7,500 Trustpilot reviews and a customer base the brand now puts past a million.

Plenty of reviewers call it “amazing” — but could it give me a brighter smile without the horror-show price tag?

It usually sits at £29.99, which is the pricier end of the at-home options, but MySweetSmile’s current sale has knocked the single tub down to £20.99 — a 30% saving.

The wider sale runs deeper on bundles (up to 59% off, plus Buy 2 Get 1 Free), and it ends on Wednesday, 28 May at 11:59pm.

What drew me in wasn’t the discount, though. It was the messaging.

MySweetSmile’s line is roughly: “You don’t go to the gym for 10 minutes and expect your dream physique; you don’t use skincare products once and expect to wake up with flawless skin.”

That honesty about patience sets it apart from rivals promising instant fixes they can’t deliver.

I put it to the test for 30 days, using it twice a week, to see whether the powder could lift stains and brighten my smile safely.

MySweetSmile teeth whitening powder: quickfire Q&A

How much is it? £20.99 in the current sale, down from £29.99.
Who’s it best for? Anyone wanting to brighten their teeth or reduce staining safely. Temper your expectations, though — this isn’t a trip to Turkey.
What we loved: genuine results, good value over time, peroxide-free and enamel-safe, with a couple of flavours to choose from.
What we didn’t: the application can be messy.

MySweetSmile teeth whitening powder review: the nitty gritty

MySweetSmile says 65% of its trial participants noticed visible results within two weeks, and while I was sceptical, I saw it too.

I noticed a difference after four days.

It’s also peroxide-free and non-abrasive, which matters if you’re nervous about sensitivity or thinning enamel — it’s marketed as safe for over-40s and for teeth with caps, crowns, veneers and bonding.

The one downside was the faff of dipping the toothbrush in and getting a decent amount onto the bristles. It’s surprisingly fiddly, and a little messy.

The faff is worth it, though. My teeth got noticeably brighter, and I had no sensitivity or enamel issues after working the powder into my routine.

The powder is extremely easy to incorporate into any dental routine.

One tub lasts around six months, which works out at roughly 48p per use.

I saw results after two weeks of twice-weekly use, so a brighter smile for under £2.

I liked the subtle minty taste, and if you fancy a change, there’s a Sweet Strawberry option too.

So, if you’re looking to brighten your teeth and have realistic expectations for when you’ll see results, MySweetSmile’s teeth whitening powder is definitely the way to go.

The verdict: is MySweetSmile’s teeth whitening powder worth it?

MySweetSmile’s best-selling powder has become a fixture in my evening routine.

It’s a little messy, but the results are worth it.
I get compliments on my smile, and I haven’t had to give up my coffee to keep them.
If you want a brighter smile and you’re realistic about the timeline, I’d say this peroxide-free powder is a genuinely good shout.
