Filming has wrapped on the second instalment of the crime thriller, which stars Pierce Brosnan and Dame Helen Mirren.
He is not expected to return for the third series, which The Jattvibe recently revealed is in the pipeline.
According to the Puck newsletter – written by Matthew Belloni, the former editorial director of The Hollywood Reporter – he said: “I’m told Paramount recently opted not to pick up Hardy for season three after his clashes with producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser, among others, during the recent production of seaso. n two.”
Tom – best known for his roles in The Dark Knight Rises and Peaky Blinders – is believed to have been shown the door by fed up producers.

The 48-year-old was the lead member of a star-studded cast, acting as Harry Da Souza, a fixer for the Harrigan crime family.
MobLand suffered backlash when the series dropped on Paramount+ last year.
Fans complained of Pierce’s dodgy Irish accent, despite being from Ireland himself, while attempting a heavier Kerry accent in his role as crime boss Conrad Harrigan.
It was previously claimed Tom was planning to take a sabbatical after filming finished on MobLand.
The dad of three – who was said to be eager “to have a rest” – previously told of the impact of his physical on-screen roles on his body.
He told Esquire UK: “I’ve had two knee surgeries now, my disc’s herniated in my back.
“I’ve got sciatica as well. And I have that… is it plantar fasciitis?
“Where did that come from? And why? Why?! And I pulled my tendon in my hip as well.
“It’s all falling to bits now, and it’s not going to get better”.
The Jattvibe has reached out to Paramount+ and Tom’s rep.
