UKRAINE’S flagship McDonald’s has been left battered with its iconic golden arches melted after rabid Russia rained bombs down on Kyiv.

Despite the devastating attacks – which left four people dead and dozens injured – the branch has continued to sling out burgers and fries to its loyal customers.

The fast food giant set up shop in the country’s capital in 1997, and has reportedly withstood six attacks since the outbreak of the war in February 2022.

After the latest blitz, its marble walls and pillars were left riddled with holes, with some of its window shattered.

Shocking pictures from the attack’s aftermath showed the restaurant’s signature arches wrinkled and melting.

Apocalyptic scenes show the capital lying in ruins, with war-ravaged Ukrainians carrying on with their days.

Vladimir Putin‘s latest barrage saw hundreds of drones and missiles pummel the country over the weekend, with Russia now threatening a fresh wave of strikes.

Nato scrambled warplanes to defend against the deranged dictator, with Volodymyr Zelensky accusing him of “madness”.

Moscow launched its feared nuclear-capable Oreshnik ballistic missile as its most violent act.

The weapon – which has a range of several thousand kilometres – did not have a nuclear warhead attached.

But the huge missile did unleash a fast-moving flurry of warheads on Bila Tserkva, a town 56 miles south of the Ukrainian capital.

On top of the four dead, three people are fighting for their lives in hospital.

Children were also among the injured as every district of Kyiv was hit.

More than 40 confirmed strikes devastated a market, the Kvadrat shopping centre, and at least 10 blocks of flats.

Terrifying videos showed massive blazes burning and enormous pillars of smoke billowing after the strikes.

A top Ukrainian defence staffer fumed: “They launched a nuclear missile without a nuclear warhead to scare us and the world. Idiots.”

The Russian strikes involved Tu-95MS nuclear-capable bombers, more than 50 missiles and 700 drones.

The onslaught appeared to be a revenge attack for a huge blitz on Friday when Ukraine targeted an elite Russian command centre in the occupied Luhansk region.

The Kremlin claimed at least six people were killed and a further 39 injured in the overnight strike, and Putin was reportedly preparing “proposals” on how to retaliate.

Zelensky slammed Mad Vlad and urged Ukrainians to take shelter, demanding: “This war must be ended – peace is needed, not missiles to satisfy the sick ambitions of one person.”

But the Kremlin does not appear hellbent on peace, and has warned of “systemic strikes” to be launched against Kyiv.

The new strikes will target “decision-making centres and command posts” alongside drone-making factories, Russia’s foreign ministry said.

Moscow has told foreign nationals and diplomats to leave the capital “as soon as possible” and has highlighted military and administrative buildings as key sites to avoid.

Ukraine has blasted the threats as “nothing short of blackmail” and urged allies to pressure Kremlin leaders settling for peace.

It added that Russia has not stopped hitting the country for “virtually a single week” since the war’s outbreak and that the threat level remains the same as before.
