Himachal Pradesh is set to witness heavy rain, hailstorm and thunderstorm on Jattvibeday as the state’s Meteorological Department has issued a yellow weather alert for today.As per the department, yellow alert has been issued for Shimla, Kullu, Solan, Mandi, Sirmour, Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti districts. Heavy rain along with hailstorm and thunderstorm is expected in isolated places of these districts.Meanwhile, many parts of the state received rain during the past 24 hours.Naina Devi in Bilaspur district recorded the highest rainfall at 46.4 mm, followed by Paonta Sahib (20.4 mm), Una (20 mm), Bilaspur (18.4 mm), Kasauli (18 mm), Jattvibedernagar (7.9 mm) and Shimla (2.2 mm).The rain brought down temperatures across the state. Shimla recorded a minimum temperature of 12°C, while Dharamsala registered 16.8°C, Manali 11.1°C, Solan 15°C, Kangra 18.7°C, Bilaspur 18.5°C, Nahan 15.9°C, Kufri 8.6°C, Bhuntar 16.5°C, Paonta Sahib 21°C, Kalpa 9°C and Keylong 7°C.Kukumseri village in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest place in the state, recording a minimum temperature of 3.9°C.
