A MARRIED At First Sight couple have broken their silence on their sad split and told of their “incredibly difficult time” behind the scenes.
The devastated E4 show bride, who appeared on the Aussie version of the 2025 season, told how the pair had made their choice with “a heavy heart’ and admitted it was “one of the hardest decisions” she had made.

This week, we reported how MAFS stars Jeff Gobbels and Rhi Disljenkovic had split – and erased any trace of each other from their social media pages.
It came after we told how the pair had been hit by a cheating scandal.
Now, brunette Rhi has taken to her Instagram Stories for a text post written in white font on a black background.
She wrote: “With a heavy heart, I wanted to share that Jeff and I have decided to part ways.

The MAFS UK couples that have stood the test of time
Owen Jenkins & Michelle Walder (Series 5, 2020)
They were the first UK couple to celebrate their first wedding anniversary and have since legally married and had a daughter called Jessica. Their second child is due to be born in January.
Adam Aveling & Tayah Victoria (Series 6, 2021)
This head over heels couple are also legally married and have two children together – daughter Beau and son Jenson.
They announced the arrival of baby number two on Instagram in April, writing: “Introducing our son, Jenson Joe Aveling (JJ) we could not be happier and more in love.”
Jenna Robinson and Zoe Clifton (Series 7, 2022)
They were the first lesbian couple on Married at First Sight UK and are the only couple from that series who remain together.
They are engaged and are planning their legal wedding.
Following Zoe’s proposal, Jenna said: “Not to be cliché but I genuinely didn’t think that this type of love actually existed, to have someone who loves you, cares and respects you as much as you do them, is the most incredible feeling.. and now I get to marry my best friend instead of a stranger!”
Matt Murray & Shona Manderson (Series 8, 2023)
Matt and Shona were matched with other people on the show but formed a relationship after the experiment ended and are still together.
Earlier this year Matt presented Shona with a promise ring. He said in a show reunion: “I can’t thank you enough. Shona, I want to show you how committed I am with this ring.
“So please take this as a vow that one day in the near future, you will be my wife and the most gorgeous mother of my children.”
It was revealed on the series that the pair knew each other before their time on-screen, meaning they have a lengthy connection.
Actor Jeff then took to his own page to upload a similar message which read: “After a lot of thought, unfortunately my relationship has ended.
“This has been an incredibly difficult time and I am trying to navigate this as best I can.
“I’m grateful for the memories and genuine love we shared over the years.

Earlier this week, we reported how their loved-up selfies and references to their Married At First Sight experience together had been erased.
Last week Rhi uploaded a gallery entitled “bits and pieces for the month” with no sign of her spouse in her glam snaps.
Meanwhile, Jeff’s latest grid post featured snaps showing him and his mum heading out for dinner.
On the show, after Jeff and Rhi found themselves matched by the experts, it only took seconds for the couple, and their guests, to realise their previous connection.
As Rhi began to walk down the aisle, she stopped in her tracks as she clapped eyes on 39-year-old Jeff.
As some of the guests questioned what was going on, Jeff turned to look at Rhi as he said: “Hey, Rhi!”
She replied back sheepishly: “Hey Jeff.”
Jeff said to the cameras of their previous connection: “She just came out of a long-term relationship, and I just came out of a relationship.
“We both sort of decided we were better off being single.”
