The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday, in a post on X, said its revaluation portal was targeted by multiple cyberattacks, including a denial-of-service (DDoS) attack that generated 1.5 million hits within two minutes and over one lakh attempts at unauthorised file access.It added that the portal continues to support over 8,000 concurrent users and had processed more than 16,000 successful submissions by 3 pm. The board further mentioned that security teams remained vigilant and had also extended session time limits to improve user experience.The development sparked reactions online, with users questioning the robustness of the portal’s cybersecurity measures.User comments included: “DDoS attacks are common. Public portals should handle them before launch. This explanation raises serious questions about competence.
