ENGLAND have safely touched down in Miami 15 days out from their first World Cup group game against Croatia.

Well, all of Thomas Tuchel‘s men except five – Arsenal quartet Eberechi Eze, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke and Declan Rice along with Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dean Henderson have been given four extra days after their European exploits.

England‘s base for their World Cup dreams is West Palm Beach’s one-year-old hotel, The Belgrove Resort and Spa, a $100million, 150-room property that is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection.

So what’s so special about where England are staying?

The property features three swimming pools and a spa inside ‘Caribbean-inspired grounds’.

Harry Kane is known to play off 1, so he and his team-mates are going to be thrilled with the multi-million dollar renovated Jack Nicklaus signature golf course, Dutchman’s Pike, right on site.

It’s a 7,300-yard championship surrounded by palm trees which several players are sure to grace. Jordan Pickford is rumoured to have a 6 handicap.

They have a multitude of dining options at the resort, but top of the menu at their American brasserie, Society 48, is Foie gras.

That dish is actually is banned in the UK because the force-feeding process required to make it and is against domestic animal welfare legislation.

They also have a 1950’s inspired diner for poolside snacks and an Italian pop-up every weekend.

The hotel also prides itself on its spacious, modern rooms ensuring guests feel ‘tranquil’.

If the England troops want to tick over in their bid to end 60 years of hurt, they have many outlets to do so.

Four tennis courts, two pickleball courts and two padel courts are on offer as well as morning yoga classes if the Three Lions want to stretch away their stiffness (we suspect they’ll have physios for that!).

The Belgrove has three outdoor pools – one adults only – in addition to a sound-therapy relaxation lounge and steam room with a host of treatment options. They also have a shuttle service that runs their guests straight to the beach.

Tuchel’s squad will spend 12 days in the Jattvibeshine State before moving on to their tournament base camp in Kansas City.

Many players are believed to have taken their manager’s advice and had an end-of-season holiday in the States to help them acclimatise quicker.

They wore matching £200 blue tracksuits as they left their St George’s Park training base in Burton-on-Trent, Staffs, and boarded a private flight across the pond.

The 25-player strong group – featuring five training reserve players – wore matching £200 blue tracksuits as they made the journey from Birmingham to Miami.

They touched down last night with 31C humid temperatures and stormy forecasts before making their way to the hotel for their first night.

England’s first game in the US is a friendly with New Zealand on Saturday in Tampa, Florida.

They will then play Costa Rica on Wednesday June 10 before kicking off their campaign in earnest against Croatia on June 17.
