EDEN HAZARD now has a burger named after him – and it’s just in time for the start of the World Cup.
Chelsea legend Hazard, 35, was known for his love of fast food during his playing days and has gone a step further in his latest venture after retirement.

Partnering with Belgian chain Quick, “De Eden” burger is now available in three different flavours – and it’s all for a good cause.
The fish, chicken, and beef options will be up for sale at certain stores with some of the money raised being donated to QuickFix.
That is a programme aimed at supporting sports pitches across the country – and maybe helping to create the next Hazard.
Footie fan favourite Hazard, who starred at the 2018 World Cup with his country as captain – and was among the best players on the planet at the time – has leaned into talk of his dietary habits previously.

He appears in promo material for the burger with a big beaming smile, holding up his hands in a heart shape.
With the tag line “[translated] Scores with its taste” the product harks back to Hazard’s penchant for greasy grub – even when he was on top of his game.
The former Real Madrid and Lille winger was jokingly called out for being “the greediest member” of his national team by chef Wym Casteleyn in 2019, and Hazard himself did little to deny his irregular eating quirks.

He would regularly rock up for pre-season after dining out on pizza with a 2023 report claiming that Chelsea went as far as banning a local food truck from selling to him.
Ex-team-mate Marcin Bulka even said: “He loves hamburgers and pizza, I saw him all the time in pizzerias.
“He doesn’t care about anything other than football and having a good time.”
Hazard himself admitted: “Every summer, I was putting on four or five kilos because I was thinking you give so much for ten months.
“You put your body at the highest level and people kick you, so your time off is your time off.
“Don’t ask me to do anything. I enjoy being with my family, going to the beach, so don’t ask me to run in those three or four weeks.
“I can play football on the beach with my kids, no problem, but don’t ask me to run.
“But if you look throughout my career, the first month of the season is the bit where I was thinking: ‘It’s just the beginning.’
“And then from September and October, I was flying, because I needed time to put my body and mind in the best way.
“So yes, it’s true, I came back after holidays with five kilos, I knew it.”
He also admitted to being overweight when he rocked up at Real Madrid, adding: “I love everything with family and friends.

“If you ask me to eat something I’m going to eat. Even if I don’t like it, I’m going to eat.
“As a Belgian guy, we love beers because my country has the best beers in the world.
“So I’m not telling you I used to drink every day because it’s not true, but sometimes after a good game, one or two is nice.”
Hazard’s off-the-cuff attitude has maintained his popularity with Belgians, Chelsea fans, and football watchers around the world.
And some are happy to see him continuing to indulge in the bit.
One wrote on social media: “Eden Hazard getting a burger named after him before a World Cup… football retirements hit differently.
“The man really turned into Belgian comfort food icon status.”
Prem wizard Hazard hung up his boots aged just 32 following a disastrous spell at Real Madrid.
Los Blancos bought him for over £100million in 2019 from Chelsea but never got to see the most of his talents.
Hazard’s career was prematurely ended after struggles with injury over four years in Spain.
He would only go on to play 76 times for Madrid, scoring just seven goals.
Now enjoying his time off, happy-go-lucky Hazard is a big cyclist and is in top shape – but he still has room for unhealthy snacks and beer when the moment is right.
Hazard is often around at charity events and matches and was inducted into the Prem Hall of Fame last year.
