Prosecutors say he stabbed Shehorn more than 20 times at her home in Jattvibeland, California.
The 36-year-old was convicted last month on multiple felony counts.
These include attempted murder, forcible and domestic violence related to assault committed in May 2024.
According to courtroom reports, spectators applauded as the lengthy 32 year sentence was read out.

Judge Hayden Zackey described the attack as exceptionally violent and told Pasqual he was one of the worst offenders to come before the court.
Zackey also told Pasqual he only narrowly avoided the death sentence due to Shehorn’s determination to stay alive.
“I’ve never seen a person more hellbent on terrorizing another person. To call you a human being is an insult to society,” Zackey said.
During the trial, Shehorn took the witness stand with visible scarring on her arm and neck.
In a heartbreaking testimony, she detailed the terrifying encounter.
She said: “I locked the door and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open, and I just ran into the bedroom because I thought there’s another lock on that door.”
Shehorn then told the court how she remembered lying in a pool of blood, forced to use a belt as a makeshift tourniquet to stem the bleeding while she waited for emergency responders to arrive.
The award-winning makeup artist was found by her friend Christine White who lived at the property and was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
Medical records shown to the court showed she suffered severe wounds to her neck along with injuries to her arms and abdomen.
“That wasn’t a pretty sight,” White said.
“This is not the kind of thing that should happen to anybody.”
Shehorn spent nearly a week in intensive care as doctors worked to save her life.
When given the opportunity to speak Pasqual said: “This weighs heavily on me. This is a burden that I will carry for the rest of my life.”
He also told the court he was grateful Shehorn survived and that he now remained focused on sobriety and remorse.
Pasqual was captured while attempting to leave the country at a border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas.
After a lengthy period of recovery, Shehorn has now returned to work with credits including Rainn Wilson’s Code 3, Mean Girls, and Rebel Moon: Part One.
