A BARGAIN rival to the Vauxhall Astra has been unveiled ahead of its UK launch next month.
The family EV, which is expected to cost less than £30,000, can travel up to 300 miles on a single charge – enough to get you from London to Paris.

Leapmotor, the Chinese car brand, has revealed its new small EV, its fourth model behind the T03 city car, C10 SUV and B10 crossover.
This time, though, the B05 is a full EV and will go on sale in the UK from July.
It is being seen as a rival to the Peugeot E-308, Vauxhall Astra Electric, Volkswagen ID.3 and Cupra Born.
However, the Leapmotor undercuts all of those on price, as it starts at £30,495.

When taking into account Leapmotor’s self-imposed ‘Leap-Grant’ offer of £1,500, the price drops to £28,995.
With a 67.1kWh battery, the B05 can travel for 300 miles – more than you get in all of the aforementioned electric hatchbacks in their base forms.
This is also further than entry-level versions of the Kia EV3 and Skoda Elroq.
The B05 also comes with 178kW charging speeds, meaning a 30 to 80 per cent top up can take just 17 minutes.
It also has a launch control system, which allows it to reach 62mph from a standing start in just 6.7 seconds.
As standard, the B05 comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, automatic air-conditioning, automatic LED lights front and rear.
It also comes with folding wing mirrors.
