On the fourth birth anniversary of renowned Punjabi singer and rapper Shubhdeep Singh, also known as Sidhu Moosewala, today, his father Balkaur Singh and mother Charan Kaur shared emotional messages on Instagram, remembering their son and expressing the enduring pain of their loss.In his heartfelt post written in Punjabi, Balkaur Singh reflected on the four years since Moosewala’s passing, saying that while time had taught him how to live with the pain, he had never been able to come to terms with his son’s absence.He noted that many believed people would eventually forget Moosewala, but the immense love shown by fans for his name, thoughts, and music has repeatedly proved otherwise. Balkaur Singh posted that whenever he witnesses the affection people continue to show for Moosewala and his work, he feels that his son is still alive in the hearts of people.He added that although he has accepted the reality that his son will never return, no one can take him away from the hearts of those who cherish him. Concluding the emotional tribute, he wished his son a Happy Birthday, calling him his “sher putt” (lion-hearted son), and said that God taught him how to live without him, but not to forget him. Even today, when we face times of joy or sorrow, the first thing that comes to mind is you.”She added, “You are a big name to people, but to me, you are still the same child I carried in my arms. Your absence is felt every day, but my pride in you also increases every day. Happy birthday, my lion. Your mother still loves you as much today as she did the day she first held you in her arms.”The posts have resonated deeply with fans, who continue to remember Sidhu Moosewala as one of the most influential voices in Punjabi music. Sidhu Moosewala, born on June 11, 1993, was shot dead at Jawaharke village in Mansa district on May 29, 2022, at the age of 28. He had unsuccessfully contested the Assembly election on a Congress ticket from Mansa in 2022. Since his murder, his team has released 13 songs in his voice, each receiving significant attention. Moosewala’s hologram-based world tour, titled “Signed to God World Tour,” is also expected to begin soon.The tour will use hologram technology (3D projection) to recreate his stage presence for fans worldwide.
