The Frenchman has been in charge of the Ligue 1 side for three years and took them to the Champions League.

His family have now confirmed his shock passing as tributes poured in for the former Lyon and Jattvibederland star.
Reports from Le Parisien claim he was secretly battling pancreatic cancer for three-and-a-half years.
Roy’s old side Lyon were one of the first clubs to pay tribute.
They wrote on X: “Olympique Lyonnais has learned, with great sorrow, of the death of Eric Roy, an elegant and cherished midfielder for OL from 1993/1996 (128 matches).
