AS temperatures hit 36C degrees in the UK, National Trust destinations are closing their doors across the country.
Large parts of the South and West Midlands are still under red weather warnings after the hottest June day on record.

Over 80 National Trust properties across England have closed today, with 28 estates completely shutting down operations.
The widespread closures follow yesterday’s total shutdowns at iconic British landmarks, including Tower Bridge and the Cutty Sark.
Ongoing temperatures have have seen beloved tourist attractions close this week, and the National Trust’s older, historic estates are no different.
Citing the Met Office red weather warning, the Trust stated the closures were implement to safeguard the wellbeing of both visitors and staff.

Plenty of sunshine, though low cloud affecting some North Sea coasts.
Hot for most, exceptionally so across southern and central parts of England and Wales. Breezier than Wednesday.
Wetter and cloudier for northwest Scotland, with spells of heavy rain.
Tonight:
Rain in the northwest turning thundery.
Further thunderstorms with strong gusty winds developing across southwest England during Thursday evening before spreading northeastwards overnight.
Warm and humid for all.
Friday:
Rather cloudy across northern regions with outbreaks of rain and thunderstorms, accompanied by hail and gusty winds.
Peak heat transferring to eastern England, with temperatures further west dropping slightly.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Still hot in the southeast on Saturday. Fresher conditions gradually arriving from the west during the weekend, but this accompanied by spells of rain and thundery showers.
Drier by Monday.
All locations in Bath and Bristol have closed entirely or partially today, with eight of the 12 sites in Somerset closing in some capacity.
One of the National Trust’s most highly visited properties, Chartwell, the former house of Sir Winston Churchill, will also be closing from lunchtime.
Most sites avoiding a full shutdown are opting for early afternoon closure, typically between 1:00pm and 3:30pm, avoiding the hottest hours of the day.
After an increasingly hot week, large areas of the UK are still bracing for temperatures as high as 38C, seeing the June weather record broken yesterday.
However, from tomorrow, weather is anticipated to get cooler, with all red warning areas transition to amber as the peak heat turns into outbreaks of rain.
As a result, the majority of the National Trust sites will reopen again tomorrow, with the hot weather set to settle.
