THREE Lions fans are set to smash the World Cup’s beer record as bars across Atlanta are selling pints for just £1.50 – slashed to 75p if it rains.

A string of boozers in the Georgian city offer the cheapest alcohol prices in the US – and far cheaper than a pint of lager in the UK.

Taxi driver Mike Baldwin, 62, from Doncaster, said: “It’s even cheaper than Benidorm.

“I just can’t believe the prices – we are in heaven.”

At the Battle and Brew supporters can buy pints of beer for just $2 dollars – £1.50 – on game days, while at local Moe and Joe’s a Wednesday special at any time is the same price.

That means excited English fans can sink FIVE pints today for the same price as one back home.

At nearby Cypress Street Pint & Plate the prices rise by 75p as pints of the classic American-style lager Pabst Blue Ribbon are sold for $3 dollar daily – which is only £2.25.

And another bar sells luxury cocktails for the same price.

While others are offering World Cup viewing specials and happy hour “bundles” of shots and beer.

One English fan posted online: “Get down to the Hudson Grill. Pitchers of beers for £7.50, five minutes from the stadium, and loads of TVs.”

Tom Coleman, 27, who arrived in Atlanta on Monday night from London, said: “The plane tickets are so expensive and I paid £1,000 for my stadium ticket so this is a silver lining.

“It’s actually a blessing.

“You can’t get cheaper than this.

“It’s going to make a lot of English fans happy.”

England fans will also catch a break inside the stadium as beer prices there are the lowest out of any World Cup venue with a draft costing only $4.30, which works out at £3.80.

Slices of pizza, bottles of water and fries will cost just £2.27 while hot dogs will be just £1.52.

Atlanta is the “wildest” host city that England fans will fly to as drinking is even allowed on the streets and outside the stadium – something that has been banned in other states.

Bars can even serve you takeaway containers of booze.

And there are party buses that fans can book to take them to the Mercedes-Benz stadium – which is just two miles from the city centre.

GoGo Party Bus can transport groups of up to 100 people and have on board karaoke machines with a bring your own booze bar area.

Some even have dance poles and built in photo booths.

One US local said: “It’s a mental place. Brits beware.”
