Terrifying photos show the woman desperately pressed into the rift, motionless and rigid as she waits to be rescued from the Jiaozi Cliff.
Ren had spent the night alone, watching the sunrise at the scenic site in Shanxi Province, China, when she fell over the 330ft-high ledge.
It is understood the woman was walking near the edge when wet conditions and poor visibility caused her to slip.
She tumbled 180ft down but miraculously became stuck in a small rock crevice, ultimately saving her life.

Shortly after a man at the cliff’s base heard her desperate cries and immediately alerted the authorities in the early hours of July 2.
Rescuers quickly deployed drones including infrared imaging to pinpoint the tourist’s exact location on the steep terrain in low light.
As the smooth cliff offered no suitable anchor points, teams secured ropes to surrounding trees before abseiling to reach her.
She survived five hours in the rock crevice by the time she was brought to safety.

Ren was found disorientated and physically exhausted and had sustained multiple non-life-threatening injuries.
She was hospitalised after the ordeal, where she remains receiving treatment.
The Captain of the Shanxi Blue Sky Rescue Team said it was the first time in 16 years of service he had encountered such a situation.
Her family thanked the rescuers for their overnight efforts.
The police urged visitors to avoid lingering near cliff edges at night, to avoid slippery terrain and heed safety warnings in such scenic locations.
This comes as a tourist fell 130ft off a cliff after taking a selfie at the Huaying Mountain, in Guang’an, China.
