Following an extensive investigation, officers arrested Tayvon Etefia and Emmanuel Popoola, both 18, and discovered that the killing was motivated by a row over Snapchat.
In a heartbreaking tribute, Harker’s family said: “Our son had just turned 18 when these individuals decided to take his life.
“We have been left with a lifetime of pain and loss that can never be undone.”
After Met Police officers found Harker’s body at around 8.45pm on June 26, 2025, in the north London borough, the teen was rushed to hospital but sadly pronounced dead the same day.

Homicide detectives found that Keanu was shot while cycling his bicycle while being followed by two men on a Sur-ron e-bike.
Etefia, then 17, was the one controlling the e-bike while his passenger, Popoola, also then aged 17, was the gunman.
After shooting Harker, the pair sped off to a nearby park and dumped the e-bike, as well as their clothes and a machete, into a neighbouring garden.
The pair were picked up in a black Ford Focus, driven by Eliezer Mbaki, and driven away.
Two days after the killing, Popoola’s girlfriend Anais King bought a £269 one-way train ticket from him to travel from London St Pancras to Paris.
Etefia also got himself a train ticket leaving for Paris the day after Popoola.
With detectives tracking Etefia’s spending and noticing the train booking, they alerted British Transport Police, who boarded the train and arrested the teen two minutes before its departure.
As Popoola had arrived in the French capital, Met officers monitored his girlfriend who went to visit him at his apartment on August 3.
Working with the French police, Popoola was arrested by the Paris gendarmes and extradited to London on August 14.
During a six-week trial at the Old Bailey, jurors heard that gang members had bragged about the murder in drill rap videos.
The prosecutors also showed Snapchat group messages showing Popoola angered by comments Harker made about him not being able to buy data for his phone.
Popoola and Etefia were convicted on Monday of the murder of Harker and will be sentenced on Thursday and Friday.
Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card said: “This is a tragic case that yet again demonstrates why our commitment to tackling serious violence is so important.
“Our painstaking investigation established that Keanu was murdered because his killers took offence to something that was said in a social media group chat.
“Rather than ignore the comments, Emmanuel Popoola armed himself with a pistol and with the help of Tayvon Etefia carried out a drive-by shooting.
“This was cowardly and disproportionate violence that has understandably shocked the community.
“We spent months building a comprehensive case against the killers and those who tried to help them, and I am pleased to have been able to secure justice for Keanu’s family.”
