CAPE VERDE World Cup star Vozinha has continued his remarkable summer after a species of SEA SLUG was named after him.
The veteran goalie, 40, was one of the players of the tournament for his heroics in the group stage and then last-32 defeat to Argentina.

A red Caribbean mollusc has been found and named Aldisa vozinha
And now he has made a surprise impact on ocean life.

The scientific report published explains that the new life form found in the Caribbean was dedicated to fan favourite Vozinha after his “prominent role” at the World Cup.
Out of work ‘keeper Josimar Jose Evora Dias is now better known as Vozinha after helping the second smallest nation ever to qualify for a World Cup get a miraculous 0-0 draw with Spain.

He made several standout saves in the group opener and became a viral hit.
His performance against Spain saw him gain over 17million followers overnight – eclipsing Tom Brady in a shot.
And now he has been marked out by Ortea, 75, in marine biology.
The slug’s red colour is a “reminder of his feat” – and ironically came against La Roja.
That phrase means “the red one” in Spanish and is the nickname of the national side.
And Ortea has previous with this sort of thing, naming a discovery in Costa Rica after another World Cup hero – Keylor Navas.
He went on to play for Real Madrid and PSG as well as Nottingham Forest.
Another small creature found by Ortea was named after former Sporting Gijon striker Quini due to its red and white colour as well.
Vozinha, who has been linked with a high profile free transfer to join Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, now has over 28million followers on Insta, including Luke Littler.
He is a massive global hit after helping Cape Verde out of the groups thanks to another draw with Uruguay.
They took Argentina to extra-time, causing a major shock before going home with their heads held high.
And Vozinha’s legacy lives on.
