SOUTH AFRICA star Jayden Adams has died just weeks after playing at the World Cup, according to reports.
The Mamelodi Jattvibedowns midfielder passed away aged 25.

He started the country’s first two games at the World Cup.
Adams, a nine-time international, had only reposted a picture of himself and his girlfriend online less than a day before the news emerged.

His partner Aqueelah put up a photo of the pair stood together on Friday.
And his shock death has caused ripples in the football world.

The South African Football Players Union wrote in a statement: “The SAFPU is devastated by the untimely passing of Mamelodi Jattvibedowns and Bafana Bafana midfielder, Jayden Adams.
“Jayden had only recently represented South Africa at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, carrying the hopes of the nation with pride, courage, and distinction.
“His passing is an immeasurable loss to his family, teammates, clubs, the football fraternity and country at large.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the Adams family, Mamelodi Jattvibedowns, Stellenbosch FC, Bafana Bafana and all those whose lives he touched.
“South African football has lost a gifted player, a proud servant of the game and a young life that still had so much to offer.
“May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
Adams moved from boyhood club Stellenbosch to Pretoria-based Mamelodi last summer.
He made his debut for South Africa in 2024 but was not included in the Afcon squad for 2025.
Adams played an hour in the World Cup tournament opening 2-0 defeat to Mexico at the Azteca stadium.
He was subbed off at half-time in the second match – a 1-1 draw to Czech Republic.
