THE NEW No10 North will be “Andy Burnham’s Mar-a-Lago” and other foreign leaders will have to visit him there, allies said.
The incoming PM has announced that he will set up a Downing Street outpost in Manchester to force through his devolution agenda.

Mr Burnham is expected to split his time between the London No10 and the No10 North based in Manchester – like Donald Trump does between the White House and his Mar-a-Lago resort.
President Trump often hosts foreign politicians at his private Florida resort.

An ally said: “No10 North is going to be big.
“International prime ministers and presidents – I think they will be invited to visit him in Manchester not in London.
“It will be like Donald Trump and Mar-a-Lago. No10 North will be Andy Burnham’s Mar-a-Lago. It will be quite radical.”
Another senior ally said Mr Burnham will take “personal charge” of No10 North.
The ally said: “Power is where the PM is.”
Mr Burnham is expected to be officially named Prime Minister in 8 days time.
He has been installed after mutinous Labour MPs rebelled and forced Keir Starmer to resign as leader and PM.

Westminster is on tenterhooks to find out who Mr Burnham will appoint to his first Cabinet.
Ed Miliband is the favourite to be the next Chancellor – but some in Camp Burnham are warning against appointing him.
There are also fears he could kick off and send Mr Burnham’s first Cabinet shuffle into meltdown if he does not get the job he wants.
A senior Labour source said: “Ed Miliband has scuppered a Cabinet reshuffle before when he refused to leave the Net Zero brief when Keir Starmer tried to move him.
“He is the one who could give Andy Burnham a headache.”
A spokeswoman for Mr Burnham said he is committed to the No10 North project but would not comment beyond that.
