A TEENAGE boy has allegedly been shot in a park close to a busy shopping centre as police launch an urgent probe.
The 15-year-old boy was raced to hospital after the incident on Porchester Street, close to Newton Shopping Centre in Birmingham.
Police scrambled to Newton Row just after 10.30pm on Thursday and found the injured teenager.
He was rushed to hospital but none of his injuries are life-threatening or life-changing.

West Midlands Police have urged anyone who might have information to come forward by calling 101, and quoting log 5848 of 23/7/26.
The force has started making CCTV enquiries and said there will be an increased police presence in the area.

A spokesperson said: “We’re investigating after a teenager was discovered with a gun shot wound on Newtown Row, Newtown at just after 10.30pm yesterday (23 July).
“It’s understood he was shot at the nearby park by Porchester Street.
“The 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or changing.
“We’re carrying out a range of enquiries – including a thorough review of CCTV – to establish exactly what happened and who was involved.
“We understand how concerning this will be and we’ve increased patrols in the area.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to an incident at an address near to the A53 in Birmingham at 10.31pm, yesterday, and sent an ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene.
“On arrival, crews found a teenage boy. He was treated for serious injuries before being conveyed to Hospital.”
