Overnight it emerged the female player who lashed out had been banned from playing in any event organised by the Eusebio Sports League for five years following a disciplinary hearing on Friday.
Action has also been taken against her team over Wednesday’s incidents.
Eusebio Town Hall said in a statement: “The Municipality of Eusebio wishes to publicly state that it strongly condemns violence and any form of unsportsmanlike conduct.
“A team from our Sports and Youth Department is accompanying the athlete who was kicked in the head and was treated at an emergency medical care unit in Eusebio. She is doing okay.”

“We will continue to invest and ensure a regular calendar for amateur sports because we believe in the transformative power of sport in our society.”
Radio Nascimento, President of Projeto RDJ Esport Feminino, confirmed Ana Julia Alencar and her unnamed teammate who was punched in the face were both recovering at home.
She said: “It is an extremely regrettable situation and one we would never want to witness on a sports court.
“We will continue to take all appropriate measures to ensure that incidents like this do not happen again and that our athletes have the safety and respect they deserve.”
Futsal is an association football-based game played on a hard court which is a variation of mini football. It is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalie.
Last September a Brazilian goalie playing the sport collapsed and died seconds after saving a penalty by stopping it with his chest.
Antonio Edson dos Santos Sousa was filmed on a live online feed falling to the ground as he went to high five an overjoyed teammate.
Fellow players and officials reacted by calling on medics to assist the 34-year-old but he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital following failed attempts to revive him.
The tragedy occurred during a futsal match at a gym in the municipality of Augusto Correa in the northern Brazilian state of Para.
The goalie who died, better-known to family and friends by his nickname of Pixe, was playing for a team called Sind Motos in an amateur tournament organised to coincide with the commemoration of the week of Brazil’s independence from Portugal more than 200 years ago.
