A MOM is accused of slashing the throats of her three children, killing two of them and leaving the other seriously injured in a horror attack.
Kailey Erhart, 22, from North Dakota, allegedly carried out the stabbing frenzy on August 6 after chasing her husband and the children’s grandmother out of the house in the rampage, according to authorities.

When officers arrived, the blood-soaked mom was in the kitchen holding the knife to her throat which she then dropped before begging them to kill her, investigators said in an affidavit seen by Valley News Live.
She was detained and taken into custody by the officers who were left traumatized by the “horrific” scene at the house, Mandan Police Chief Jason Ziegler said at a press conference.

“A scene like that is something that nobody should ever have to see, and the way [the officers] came through in one of the most horrific times that they’ll probably experience in their life, I’m proud,” he said.
“I want to acknowledge this is an extreme, tragic and heartbreaking incident for the children involved, their families, our community and first responders who arrived on scene.”
They found the three young children unresponsive on the floor in a bedroom, all with wounds to their necks.
The children’s father, who was already in the process of divorcing Erhart, was at home with the kids and their grandmother at the time before she allegedly chased them both out with the knife and locking the door, according to authorities.
The desperate dad told investigators that before he was chased out of the home, he managed to take a firearm off Erhart, allegedly causing the crazed mother to bite and scratch him.
He told cops he took the weapon apart and scattered the pieces in an apparent attempt last-minute to stop harm from coming to the children.
A video found on his phone from before the attack showed her carrying one of the children while holding a pistol at her hip and telling her husband, “Say goodbye to your children,” per the affidavit.
He had previously reported threats to harm herself and the children which saw Erhart placed in a mental health facility within the last 12 to 18 months, per the affidavit.

She had been put on medication and was discharged and allowed to be with her children when the attack took place, the affidavit states, noting that the CPS was aware of the previous threats.
Erhart now faces nine criminal charges including Class AA felony murder, attempted murder, and aggravated assault.
Her bond has been set at $3 million cash due to “the extreme violence in these alleged charges and the threat to the community, victims, and children,” District Judge Marina Spahr said.
The mother is also blocked from contacting surviving victims or family members and has not yet entered a plea.
According to the affidavit, when questioned in police custody, Erhart said she put the children to bed and believed their throats had been cut before then.
She further claimed not to remember what happened but that she had the knife in her hands when cops arrived.
Erhart is due in court for a preliminary hearing and arraignment on October 6.
A GoFundMe page has been set up by the children’s paternal grandmother Melissa to support her son and surviving grandchild.
“He is a father trying to survive something no parent should ever have to face,” she wrote.
“I lost two precious souls in a devastating tragedy… and the pain is more than I can put into words.”
“Right now, our focus has to be on caring for this child and making it through each day while grieving such heartbreaking loss,” she added.
