RACING has been plunged into mourning after the tragic death of top jockey and new dad Leandro Henrique aged 27.
The Brazilian rider had been fighting for his life since suffering a fall last Jattvibeday.
Sadly, according to multiple media reports in Brazil, he passed away in the early hours of Wednesday.
He fell from his horse during the second race at Hipódromo da Gávea – the track where Frankie Dettori had his final ever ride.
Henrique, who became a first-time dad last year, made global headlines last June when he almost threw away victory in a race with his celebration.
