Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Friday strongly objected to Congress MP Deepender Hooda’s remarks describing late Sajjan Kumar, a convict in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, as his role model and a “good human being”. Dhaliwal said the statement was “disgusting and insensitive” and had deeply hurt the Sikh community.Dhaliwal demanded immediate action from the Congress leadership. “Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, senior leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi must expel Deepender Hooda from the party without delay. There should be no place in any political party for leaders who rub salt into the wounds of the victims of 1984,” he said.Related news: ‘Kitney murge bhun diye?’: The chilling testimony of Amritsar’s Jagdish Kaur that brought Sajjan Kumar downBarinder Singh Dhillon hits out at Deepender Hooda over Sajjan Kumar tributeHe accused Hooda of defending those responsible for the killings and urged the Congress central leadership not to remain silent.
