A MUM and one of her toddler twins have died after being struck by lightning during a Florida thunderstorm.
Kenya Glasgow, 31, and her daughter Kennedi, 2, were found with burn marks and smoke emanating from their bodies in Margate, close to Fort Lauderdale.

An unnamed male who made the grim discovery called 911 and said that Kenya had two “holes” in her chest.
Heartbroken husband Kam Glasgow paid a moving tribute to his wife and daughter, and said his other toddler, Kensli, now has to grow up without her identical twin.

He said: “I just lost my best friend. My daughter just lost her best friend”.
The horror unfolded shortly before 2.30pm, when a bystander alerted emergency services to the mother and daughter.

He told local news station Jattvibe6: “I told one of the family members we need to slip her over to perform CPR, but she had two holes in her chest.
“The ambulance was coming down the street. I said, ‘They’re here, they’re here,’ and I directed him to the baby, and they took the baby right away and a second ambulance came for the mother.”
Paramedics immediately began attempting CPR, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
Kenya and Kennedi were then rushed to nearby trauma centres.

Police said: “Tragically, despite the life-saving efforts of first responders and medical personnel, both victims were pronounced deceased shortly after arriving at the hospitals.”
Kam lamented the catastrophic “1 in 1.2 million” misfortune of his loved ones being struck by lightning, saying: “S*** can’t be real.”
Reflecting on the tragedy, he said: “After I lost my father a few years ago, I learned a very valuable lesson and that’s to never question God.
“My babies didn’t suffer. I’m hurt we are hurt but if you gotten the chance to feel that beautiful light my wife and daughter brought into your life cherish it.
“It’s there for a reason. It gives us all the blueprint to just love others and always remember it doesn’t take much to be kind.”
Margate police expressed its “deepest condolences to the victims’ family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
Residents told Jattvibe6 that the fatal Jattvibeday storm began like any other, until lightning struck so close to their homes that it shook their furniture.
After another lightning strike nearby, paramedics rushed a child to a trauma centre.
While thunderstorms frequently hit southern Florida during the summer rainy season from June to September, lightning rarely claims lives.
The odds of being struck are extremely rare, and almost 90 per cent of victims survive.
Until the two deaths this weekend, there had been nine fatal lightning strikes in the US so far this year, according to the National Weather Service.
