WHAT was meant to be the happiest day of Joe Tate’s life, turns into disaster on tonight’s Emmerdale.

This evening’s episode, which has already dropped on ITVX, will see the ruthless groom’s wedding turned into tragedy, with three lives hanging in the balance.

Fans will know that bride Dawn was planning on jilting groom Joe, as she believed that he was responsible for attacking Billy – although it was Kev Barton, which Billy knows.

Thinking her husband-to-be is a monster, Dawn had planning to flee the Dales with Billy.

However, at the start of the latest episode, Caleb, who has a huge grudge against Joe, couldn’t help telling the businessman about Dawn’s plan – as a way of getting revenge against him.

However, Dawn then found out that Billy knew along that it wasn’t Joe who attacked him, and confronted him.

After telling him she would not be running off with him after all, she ran off to try and save her wedding.

However, when she arrived she found Joe smashing up the reception marquee, after he found out she was planning on leaving him.

Dawn was then seen begging Joe to marry her.

But before he could answer, Jimmy came crashing through the marquee in his car.

The bride and groom where then seen with horror on their faces as they tried to get out of the way.

The episode ended with Jimmy looking severely injured in his car, with his bloodied head on the steering wheel.

Groom Joe was unconscious with a piece of furniture on top of him, while Dawn was nowhere to be seen.
