DENISE Welch was poached from Loose Women with a huge six-figure deal with Netflix.
The actress, who was on the daytime show for 25 years, is the latest star to be tempted by the streaming giants big projects and deeppockets.

Other stars who’ve traditionally been viewed as ITV names but made theleap to Netflix include Holly Willoughby, Emma Willis and AmandaHolden.
Denise, 68, will star in new comedy Marbles, penned by acclaimed byRichard Popper, the creator of hit Channel 4 sitcom, Friday NightDinner and will also star Bafta-winning actor, Timothy Spall.

A TV insider said: “Denise wasn’t kidding when she said shewas going to be devoting her time to pursuing acting because this is aprestige project.
“Not only is it a cast full of stars, it comes from a brilliant writerand the fact that a streamer as big as Netflix wants her shows she isin genuine demand.”

It was revealed earlier this month that Denise was leaving Loose Womenand would be appearing five shows in the coming months.
She shot to fame in Coronation Street in 1997 and juggled acting onshows including the BBC‘s Waterloo Road with being a panel member onLoose Women.
Earlier this year she also starred on Channel 4 drama Tip Toe and hasbeen inundated with offers which have big names attached to them.
Netflix describe the new show as a “multi-generational comedy about acouple raising ridiculously lively young boys, while caring forridiculously difficult ageing parents.”
It’s understood that Denise will play one of the ageing parents – theother being her on screen husband, Spall’s character.
Other members of the cast of Marbles include Robert Webb of Peep Show, which is another show which Popper worked on.
The list of programmes he’s helped create include The Inbetweeners, The IT Crowd and South Park.
