In this candid conversation, he opens up about fan moments that touched his heart, the realities of an actor’s life, his definition of success and the legacy he hopes to leave behindLooking back at your journey so far, is there a fan interaction that has stayed with you over the years?One message I’ll never forget came from a young actor who told me, “Whenever I feel like giving up, I look at your journey.” That really stayed with me. People usually see the premieres, the red carpets or the finished performance, but they don’t see the years of auditions, the waiting, the self-doubt or the moments when you question whether you’re on the right path. Knowing that someone found hope in my journey, not just in my work, was incredibly humbling. It reminded me that sometimes your perseverance inspires people even before your success does.Has there ever been an audience interpretation of your performance that surprised you?Yes, and it completely changed the way I look at acting. After one of my performances, someone told me they didn’t see my character as strong. Instead, they saw him as someone hiding pain behind confidence. That wasn’t something I had consciously planned while preparing for the role. It made me realise that once a performance reaches the audience, it no longer belongs only to the actor. Every viewer brings their own experiences and emotions to it, and sometimes they discover truths that even we didn’t realise were there. Since then, I’ve tried to leave room for the audience to complete the performance in their own way.What do you wish audiences understood about an actor’s life beyond what they see on screen?I wish people knew that acting is a profession built on uncertainty. You can prepare for months, give your best audition and still not get the part, and often it has nothing to do with your talent. The job isn’t only about performing in front of the camera. It’s about staying mentally strong between projects, constantly improving your craft, taking care of your body, reading, observing people and believing in yourself even when nobody is calling. The camera captures only a few minutes of your work. It never captures the years of preparation behind those few minutes.If your life were turned into a book, what would its title be and why?I would call it The Long Road because nothing meaningful in my life has happened overnight. I’ve experienced success, disappointment, reinvention and growth. From modelling to acting, every stage has taught me something different. But the most important chapter wouldn’t be the one where I got my first big opportunity. It would be the chapter where I learned patience. That’s where I realised that success isn’t just about getting opportunities. It’s about becoming the kind of person who’s ready when those opportunities finally arrive.If you could have dinner with any fictional character, who would it be and why?I’d choose The Godfather’s Don Vito Corleone. Not because of his power, but because of how deeply he understood people. He rarely reacted emotionally, listened more than he spoke and always understood that every decision had consequences. I’d love to ask him how he distinguished between strength and ego, between respect and fear, and how he managed to stay composed under immense pressure. As an actor, conversations around those qualities would be fascinating because they’re present in so many unforgettable characters.What kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind as an actor?I’d like people to say that I was honest, not perfect. I want every character I play to feel believable because I never tried to impress the audience. Instead, I tried to understand the person I was portraying. I also hope people remember that I kept growing as an actor. I never wanted to become comfortable or predictable. I want every role to reveal a different side of me and every performance to uncover another layer of who I am as an artiste.You’ve worked across films, television and digital projects. What continues to motivate you as an actor?What motivates me the most is the opportunity to keep evolving. Every project, every character and every medium teaches me something new about people and about myself. I don’t want to repeat the same kind of performances. I want to challenge myself with roles that push me out of my comfort zone and allow me to explore different emotions, personalities and perspectives. That’s what keeps the journey exciting for me.What does success mean to you today?Today, success means much more than fame or recognition. Fame fades and trends change, but truthful performances stay with people for decades. If my work makes someone feel something genuine, inspires them or gives them hope, even years later, I think that’s the greatest achievement any actor can hope for. That’s the kind of impact I want my work to have, and that’s the legacy I want to leave behind.
