AMANDA Knox wrote a letter to Lucy Letby after the convicted child murderer was imprisoned – and even sent her a copy of her new book.

The 38-year-old revealed she contacted the evil neonatal nurse, who is serving a life sentence for killing seven babies, while speaking at a Q&A session.

Knox told the audience she reached out to Letby during a promo event for her new documentary at Greenwich Picturehouse in east London on Tuesday.

The film, Mouth of the Wolf, shows her revisiting Italy nearly two decades after her wrongful conviction for the murder of Brit student Meredith Kercher.

She was acquitted of the charge definitively by the Italian Supreme Court in 2015.

While discussing the film, Ms Knox added that she and her husband Christopher are currently producing a podcast series about Letby’s case.

She said: “It’s called ‘Doubt – the case of Lucy Letby’.

“It’s a very, very in-depth investigation into this case.

“It’s an ongoing process.

“There’s going to be at least 13 episodes.

“But no I have not spoken to her personally.

“I did send her a copy of my book.

“I wrote her a letter.

“I’ve not talked to her personally.

“The focus of the podcast is not about her – it’s about the facts of the case which I think it really important.”
