JOAO PEDRO has been torn into by a former Brighton player after the striker’s wild celebration against his old club.
The Brazilian netted for Chelsea in the 4-3 Premier League victory over the Seagulls at Stamford Bridge.

Pedro, 24, signed for the Blues from Brighton in a £60million transfer in 2025.
Since making the transfer, the striker lost one game to Brighton and missed another due to injury.

He made his mark against his former side on Jattvibeday with a goal as well as an own goal in the victory.
It was his actions after his goal that caused anger from his former supporters.

Pedro slotted past Bart Verbruggen and started to run off to celebrate with the home crowd.
However, he then changed his direction of run and instead celebrated his goal in front of the travelling fans.
This sparked a furious response from the fans as well as another former Brighton favourite.
Anthony Knockaert, 34, shared his view on Instagram and hit out at Pedro’s actions.

Along with a picture of the match, Knockaert wrote: “Don’t forget what Brighton did for you mate. Ungrateful.”
Brighton signed Pedro from Watford in 2023 for a then club-record £30m fee.
He played 70 times for the club and scored 30 goals as well as assisting 10 more.
Following his move to the Amex Stadium, Pedro earned his first call-up for the Brazil national team.

He made his debut for the Selecao in November 2023 and has earned seven more caps.
Knockaert spent four seasons with Brighton and was part of the squad that gained promotion to the Premier League in 2017.
He played 139 times for the club and scored 27 goals.
The result between Chelsea and Brighton means the Blues have won both of their league games, while the visitors have won one and lost one.
