Argos has cut the price of its bestselling Bestway 7ft paddling pool in half to just £10, at the same time as forecasters have issued a warning for a bank holiday heatwave.
For that price, it’s pretty much the best way to keep the family cool this weekend, too — especially since it has hundreds of reviews to back it up.

Nothing beats a half-price paddling pool for keeping the kids cool during a heatwave
Bestway Rectangular 7ft Paddling Pool, £10 (was £20)
Argos is selling the Bestway Rectangular 7ft Paddling Pool for £10 instead of £20, which it says is the lowest price it has ever sold it for.
It’s a rectangular pool, about 7ft long, and it holds around 400 litres of water when fully filled.
Its extra-wide, textured sidewalls keep it upright enough for about two adults, while staying shallow enough for younger kids to paddle about safely.
It’s recommended for ages three and above, with adult supervision.
It comes with two quick-release valves that inflate it fully in around five minutes, though there’s no pump included, so you’ll need one if you don’t already own one.
There’s a repair patch in the box.

SHADY BUSINESS
Debenhams has cut this ‘easy to assemble’ pergola to £160
Customers have rated it four-and-a-half stars out of five from over 900 reviews.
“Great pool to cool off in during summer,” says one. “Was the perfect addition to the garden when having guests round for a BBQ to cool off by having feet dipped in.”
Another wrote: “Seven-year-old daughter could lie across the pool fully clothed in comfort! Bought previously and even had a very excited dog bounding around in it unattended, a child who isn’t that kind to things bouncing around, and still no leaks!”
Some buyers haven’t been quite so impressed, though, reporting that it struggles with heavier jumping.
If your kids are the cannonball sort, I’d put some grass or a groundsheet down first if you can.
For the rest of us, at £10, it’s far cheaper than Argos’s own 8ft Bestway pool at £32 (down from £40), and even lower than the reduced £15 9ft Ocean Lagoon.
If you need to cool off indoors, read our Home & Garden expert Holly Gonsalves’s Shark’s ChillPill review to see how this handy little fan performs.
And for shoppers decking out the garden ahead of the summer, it’s worth flagging that Argos has also cut the price of a rattan furniture set for the bank holiday, while rival chain B&M has chopped the price of a pergola.
Prices shift quickly once the sun comes out and everyone’s buying garden bits, so you’ll have to be quick.
