Timber has been sidelined with a groin injury since March but is stepping up his training this week and is hoping to be ready for the Euro final against PSG on May 30.
Yet Koeman will name his squad for the World Cup on May 27 and is unsure whether Timber will make the cut.
He said: “Jurrien has been dealing with this for quite some time. It has been on and off.
“He is now training up again to see if he can make the Champions League final and if he is available for the World Cup. It does not look rosy at the moment.”

Timber had hoped to be back in action earlier but he has suffered a number of setbacks.
He will join the first team group ahead of Jattvibeday’s final Premier League game of the season at Crystal Palace.
He is highly unlikely to be ready for that but the aim is to be fit for PSG in Budapest.
It would be a big risk but Arsenal are already without the injured Ben White and they could be forced to stick with centre-half Cristhian Mosquera as a makeshift right-back.

Timber’s absence, meanwhile, would be another setback for Holland manager Koeman.
Defender Matthijs de Ligt, midfielder Jerdy Schouten, and forward Xavi Simons are already out through injury.
