The Super Lig club are already in negotiations with AC Milan outcast Rafael Leao, but consider Martinelli their first port of call if that deal doesn’t get over the line – with the latest offer reportedly being deemed inadequate.
Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and clubs in Saudi Arabia have also been reported to be interested in the 25-year-old.
In the event Martinelli is sold, it is expected he would become their record sale – eclipsing the £35m Liverpool paid to land Alex-xlade -Chamberlain in 2017.
The arrival of former Norwich star Christos Tzolis in a £34m move from Club Brugge, combined with Arsenal’s public interest in a high-profile left winger, is ushering along Martinelli’s exit.
