Particularly given their opponent is a Newcastle side who are an absolute mile off it at the minute.
Eddie Howe is under severe pressure after a third successive loss at home to Bournemouth last weekend, which made it eight losses in their last 11 games.
The three defeats – all by 2-1 scores – have all come after their Barcelona trouncing and you just wonder what sort of effect that defeat has had on a group, of which several stars are reportedly ready to leave in the summer.
While just the eight points off Brighton in sixth, it’s now only 11 clear of a really poor Spurs side in the relegation zone and defeat again here could put them in the conversation of a famous end-of-season drop-off.

The Brazilian made his first appearance since the middle of February when coming off the bench last weekend and has been a massive miss int he heart of the Toon midfield.
The presence he occupies and that “dig” will be crucial against an Arsenal side expected to dominate the ball.
