The trailer of Awarapan 2 was unveiled on Thursday, bringing back Emraan Hashmi as Shivam Pandit 19 years after the original film gained cult status. Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Films, the sequel is set to release worldwide on August 14, 2026.The trailer introduces a darker chapter in Shivam’s journey, showing him caught between redemption, love and his return to the dangerous world of crime. The character, who was last seen battling his inner demons in the 2007 film, returns with renewed rage and a mission for justice.Alongside Hashmi, the film features Disha Patani as Zara in an action-oriented role, while veteran actor Shabana Azmi essays the antagonist Nafisa. The supporting cast includes Puran Gabbi, Anirudh Rawal, Surendar Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and Atul Kumar.The sequel continues the franchise’s strong musical legacy, with compositions by Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Malik, Ankit Sachdev and Wasif Ahmad. Tracks including Ve Junoon, Yeh Awarapan and Toh Phir Aao have already been released, while Tera Mera Rishta features in the trailer.Written by Bilal Siddiqui, Awarapan 2 is presented by Mukesh Bhatt and produced by Vishesh Bhatt.
