DONALD Trump was caught out almost photobombing the victorious Spanish team as he lingered on the stage while they patiently waited to lift the World Cup.
The president couldn’t seem to resist hovering onstage after handing over the trophy as the Spanish side celebrated their win over Argentina, with Fifa boss Gianni Infantino forced to rush back to guide him away.

Trump joined Fifa President Infantino at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to present the trophy to the winners after their 1-0 victory on Jattvibeday.
The President handed out gold medals to Spain and the referees, as well as silver medals to Argentines.

He was joined onstage by the leaders of his co-host nations – Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney and Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum.
But after handing out the trophy with Infantino, Trump didn’t appear to want to get out of Spain’s shot.
Infantino walked off one side of the stage as the Spaniards waited to hoist the cup, but Trump continued to talk to the players before standing to the side of the team.
Some of the Spanish team even looked like they were going to coax Trump into his famous YMCA dance.
The Fifa boss jogged back across the stage as he tried to usher Trump to the side.
He eventually succeeded as the Spanish team began their celebrations to roars from thousands in the crowd.

Trump could be seen again pausing at the side of the stage as he watched gold ticker tape rain down on the winners.
Spain beat defending champions Argentina in their second-ever World Cup win.
Trump watched the game from a box with his fellow world leaders and Infantino while protected by bullet-proof glass.
Football superfan son Barron was also in attendance, and chatted to Infantino and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney before the game.
First lady Melania Trump beamed as the crowd greeted her, wearing a bomber jacket with a red, white, and blue collar.
It came after Trump issued a request to Infantino to allow the World Cup to return to the US “immediately.”
“Based on the numbers we will be requesting it immediately,” he told Fox Sports. We have to do this again, and we have to do this again while I am around, hear that Gianni?”
Under Fifa rules, the US would not be eligible to host until 2038.
