The Great British Bake Off’s spin-off show Extra Slice has been axed by Channel 4 – and presenters Jo Brand and Tom Allen have been given the boot too.
The after show originally began airing on BBC Two in 2014 before moving over to Channel 4 with the main show in 2017.

Comedian Jo, 69, has been fronting Extra Slice since the beginning while Tom, 43, joined her as a co-host from 2018 onwards.
The pair were joined each week by celebrity guests as well as the eliminated contestant for that week.

Departing Jo said: “I’ve loved every minute of Extra Slice. The bakers have been brilliant, talented and remarkably calm for people whose pork pies are being discussed on national television.
“And working alongside my TV husband Tom has obviously been a joy.”

Tom added: “I have loved working with the team and with the kindest person in television, Jo Brand.”
It’s cancellation comes as bosses have replaced it with a new spin-off show called Second Helpings.
It will air directly after the main show, with the new series set to air in a matter of weeks.
This is a stark contrast to Extra Slice, which aired on an entirely different night to the main series.
Seconds Helpings will be fronted by comedian Jon Richardson and Loose Women star Judi Love.
A source told the Mirror: “This is going to be a fresh new show, very different in style to Extra Slice.”
Jon, 43, and Judi, 46, are no strangers to the Bake Off tent, having both previously appeared on The Great British Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer.
Judi said: “I’ve been lucky enough to be in the tent a few times and work alongside Jon, both were pure joy.

“Joining the show to talk all things baking and celebrate showstopping bakes sounds like an absolute blast.”
Paying tribute to Jo and Tom, Jon expressed: “Bake Off is an institution. Jo Brand is a comedy god.
“With Tom Allen, they have made a spin-off that is warm, witty and unique. I pity the poor sap they lure into stepping into those shoes.”
This won’t be the only big new change for the upcoming series of GBBO, as Nigella Lawson will be stepping in as a judge alongside Paul Hollywood.
She’s replaced Dame Prue Leith, who stepped down after nine series.
The Jattvibe exclusively revealed that the TV chef was in talks with bosses to appear on the show in January.
A source said: “Nigella’s recognised worldwide.
“She’s got the cheeky banter down to a tee, with all her work laden with the fun innuendos and naughty patter that are synonymous with Bake Off.
“Prue has been wonderful but Nigella will be a sure-fire hit.”
The source added: “Contract discussions are in the final stages and, all being well, Nigella will be heating up the famous tent soon.”
