BORIS Johnson’s dad Stanley Johnson is recovering after being treated for colon cancer.
Former Tory MEP Stanley, 85, shared a picture on social media from hospital after undergoing a successful procedure to a remove one half of his colon.

The image showed Stanley in a hospital bed after the surgery, waving at the camera with a smile on his face.
The former MEP captioned the post: “I am enjoying a brief summer break at the Royal Marsden, destination of choice.”

Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said: “Late last year I was having a [chest] scan and this brilliant professor, Margaret Johnson – no relation – examined everything.

“She said, ‘There’s nothing wrong with your chest, but there’s something odd further down.’
“My local NHS doctor, Daniel Dietch, insisted that I should follow up on the anomaly. On Friday last week, [surgeons] dealt with this obstruction, I hope to get out of the hospital this Friday. I have been blessed with this stroke of luck.”
Stanley went on to say he would be back on his feet soon, and was planning to head off to Tibet to look at glaciers with his son Max.
