BRIGITTE Macron banned her husband from hiring a woman after seeing her picture, claims the reporter behind the flirty texts bombshell.
The French power couple have been embroiled in a media frenzy this week over shock reports that Emmanuel Macron had a “platonic love affair” with Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani.

Political editor of Paris Match magazine, Florian Tardif, claimed that the French first lady slapped the president after reading a text saying “you are very beautiful” to the glam film star.
The infamous incident was captured as the couple prepared to deboard a plane in front of dozens of cameras in Vietnam last year.
Now, Tardif has claimed that Brigitte is wary of woman entering her husband’s orbit.
He told Les Grandes Gueules: “There are advisors applying for positions at the Élysée. And in the HR process, the final interview is with the First Lady. She’s wary.”

Tardif even accused Brigitte of dismissing a candidate after stealing a look at one of Macron’s adviser’s phones.
She reportedly declared: “Her, she’s not getting in.”
Brigitte recently broke her silence on the Farahani story to say she has never gone snooping through the president’s phone and never will.
Her representatives told Le Parisien: “Brigitte Macron categorically denied this account directly to the author on March 5.

“Specifying that she never looks at her husband’s mobile phone.”
At the time, the reason for the slap was also shut down by French officials who said the couple were simply “horsing around” and having a joke with each other.
President Macron even added the bizarre debate over the viral slap had been overblown into “a sort of geo-planetary catastrophe”.
The presidential pair had only just landed in Vietnam last May on their Southeast Asia tour when the bizarre thump was seen around the world.
As the doors of their plane opened at Hanoi airport, Macron was seen facing his wife and talking to her as she was out of frame.
Brigitte’s arms could then be seen rising as she shoved a stern-looking Macron in the face.
The shocked French leader immediately turned around to see the doors wide open and a whole sea of reporters waiting for them at the bottom of the stairs.
He turned to wave, forced out a smile and attempted to move on from the shocking slap.
Brigitte and Macron emerged together from the aircraft and walked down the staircase, with the French leader extending his arm to his wife.
But she took hold of the handrail of the walkway for support instead.
The footage lasted long in the memory with fellow world leaders even commenting on the domestic dispute.
Among them was Donald Trump who said a few days after the infamous slap that the French president was “still recovering from the right to the jaw”.
Brigitte, 73, first met Emmanuel, 48, when he was a 15-year-old in her drama class in a Catholic school in Amiens, France.
At the time she was aged 39 and had a son and two daughters.
The couple would go on to get married in October 2007.
They have repeatedly been targeted by conspiracy theories and deepfakes in recent years.
They have previously had to deny “false and fabricated” rumours Brigitte was born a man, dubbing the transgender claims as being typified misogynistic online attacks on women.
