COMEDIAN Matt Richardson has revealed exactly how much celebs get paid to take part in reality TV shows.
Looking back at his 2022 stint on Celebrity Coach Trip, the former Xtra Factor presenter said he was paid £12,000 for the six days of filming.

Matt was asked by a TikTok user how much the paycheck is for taking part in the show – which sees celebs head on a coach tour in pairs.
The star took part in the Channel 4 show alongside Will Best, and said of the experience: “12 grand I got for Coach Trip, which I didn’t think was bad considering I was on it for 6 days.”

Matt then revealed that he actually negotiated that fee up with show bosses, who had originally offered £5000.
“They came in and originally offered something like five and I know that a couple of the others were on three or four grand because they mentioned it.

“But we weren’t really talking about our fees together on the show. Because I don’t know these people, I wouldn’t really talk about money as openly and be like, ‘I’m getting this’ when you’re with them, you know? that would be weird.
“Like this, in hindsight, I think is a little bit easier,” said Matt.
Celebs such as Linda Robson, Honey G, Paul Danan and Sophie Kasaei appeared on the show alongside Matt and Will.
Continuing that the payday came no matter how well they did in the show, Matt said: “Coach Trip was just a set fee no matter how long you were in it – no winning bonus.
“Um, so me and Will Best were like, ‘Well, the less we’re in this, the better it is for us. Like, I’m not staying out here for three weeks, let’s get home, mate’.”
It comes after Matt revealed one star took his vote against them a little too personally, with the star ending up in a square-up in a bar.
In a previous video praising coach host Brendan Sheerin, Matt said the jolly lead of the show stayed mostly to himself – but he was less glowing about fellow co-star Team GB Olympian and former Celeb Big Brother star, Ashley McKenzie.
“He [Brendan] was very nice, really pleasant, really fun, but, you know, got to the end of the day and he’d take himself away from us,” he said.
“He’d go to his hotel room and chill out, which is what I wish I could have done.”
“But, you know, we were just in the thick of it, stood in the bar having a drink while someone who’s a judo Olympian comes up and squares up to you because you f**king voted for him,” he added.
“It was just mad and I don’t blame Brendan from staying away from it.”
