“I got the ingrown hair from shaving and then I wore shorts around London and in the heat I think it just got a bit sweaty and I must’ve sat on the tube and it caused an infection.

“It was a hard gumball-sized boil underneath my skin and then it came to a head and then I squeezed it.”

Christy then revealed how this was the worst thing she could’ve done.

“Do not squeeze it, whatever you do, don’t squeeze it,” she warned fans.

“The day I squeezed it, I had a fainting spell in London. I lost my vision, I lost my hearing, and I couldn’t walk, it was very scary.”

“The rest of the week then, the cyst just got bigger and bigger on my bum till it was the size of an iPhone 16 Pro Max, I’m not even joking.

Eventually, after a week of pain and feeling very unwell, she headed to hospital.

“As soon as I got to A&E, they rushed me straight through. My blood pressure was so low and my heart rate was so high, they were like, ‘How are you even like that?’” she told fans.

“The surgery was supposed to be 15 minutes, it wasn’t an hour because the cyst was so big.

“I was on an IV for five days and now I’m out of the hospital. but oh my God, it’s such a big wound.”

According to the NHS, sepsis is a serious reaction to an infection that can be life-threatening, and must be treated immediately.

What are the symptoms of sepsis?

SEPSIS is a life-threatening reaction to an infection that happens when your immune system overreacts and starts to damage your body’s own tissues and organs.

Symptoms of sepsis in an adult include:

Acting confused, slurred speech or not making sense
Blue, grey, pale or blotchy skin, lips or tongue – on brown or black skin, this may be easier to see on the palms of the hands or soles of the feet
A rash that does not fade when you roll a glass over it, the same as meningitis
Difficulty breathing, breathlessness or breathing very fast

Symptoms in a child include:

Blue, grey, pale or blotchy skin, lips or tongue – on brown or black skin, this may be easier to see on the palms of the hands or soles of the feet
A rash that does not fade when you roll a glass over it, the same as meningitis
Difficulty breathing (you may notice grunting noises or their stomach sucking under their ribcage), breathlessness or breathing very fast
A weak, high-pitched cry that’s not like their normal cry
Not responding like they normally do, or not interested in feeding or normal activities
Being sleepier than normal or having difficulty waking

They may not have all these symptoms.
If you think you or someone else has symptoms of sepsis, call 999 or go to A&E.
