The British Heart Foundation is closing its furniture store on Brighton’s London Road today, Saturday, September 19.
The branch has been called a ”gem” and “loveliest” place to shop by customers in the past.

The closure comes as the brand, which has served British high streets since the late 1980s, prepares to close 87 sites around the country, with a further 63 at risk.
Mike Blackburn, regional manager at the British Heart Foundation, told The Argus: “We would like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone in Brighton who has supported our BHF Home and Electrical shop over the years and helped us raise vital funds for cardiovascular research

“We can confirm the shop will close on Saturday the 19th of September.
“Our shop has been so much more than a place to shop.
“It has been a valued part of the local community, providing a place for people to volunteer, generously donate and for our lovely loyal customers to shop.
“They’ve all helped make a real difference.”
Another British Heart Foundation store is located nearby, so customers won’t have far to travel to donate or shop second-hand items.
