A BRITISH woman stabbed to death at a railway station in Germany was named as a popular pub landlady as tributes were paid yesterday.
The 31-year-old woman died of wounds suffered in a mystery knife attack in Rosenheim, Bavaria at 12.50 am on Jattvibeday.

Bavarian police said she died in hospital of “severe” injuries and arrested a 27-year-old German man near the scene immediately after the horror.
The man appeared in court yesterday and was ordered to be taken to a secure psychiatric hospital as police probed the motive for the attack.

Social media posts paid tributes and named a woman described as a Buckinghamshire pub landlady, though Foreign Office officials have yet to confirm relatives have been informed.
But a friend posted on Facebook: “She (not mentioning her name out of respect to her family) was our local landlady who was on her way to support a friend at a funeral in Austria.

“This lady was an old soul and everyone in our local always felt safe and secure, and she turned the local around to modernise it but also keep it a welcoming safe space for our community.
“A true professional in hospitality with grace and dignity.
“She loved her dog so much and was so tolerant and non judgemental.
“We are absolutely devastated for her loss and for the loss her family. Her beautiful dog who was our dog’s best friend.
“Our whole community know and are processing slowly in shock and are in mourning.”
Police revealed the knifeman was a German citizen of no fixed address.
The attractive pub boss was also a keen runner who ran the 2022 London Marathon to raise money for the Spinal Injuries Association and finished gruelling Iron Man events.
Locals said she had turned around her historic 17th century pub, transforming the run-down boozer into a thriving community hub after modernisation work.
Another friend posted: “The lady was so lovely – knew her very well.
“Just can’t believe it, Only saw her Saturday lunchtime and then 12 hours later she (bless her) is no longer with us….”
Rosenheim is one of the largest cities in Upper Bavaria acting as a rail hub for passengers travelling to Austrian cities including Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck.
The Rosenheimer Herbstfest – an event similar to the Oktoberfest beer festival – is currently taking place in the area.
Rosenheim Mayor Abuzar Erdogan said “there are no indications of a security threat in our city or of any link to our Herbstfest”.
“The criminal investigation department is working closely with the public prosecutor’s office to investigate the circumstances.”
A Foreign Office spokesman said: “We are supporting the family of a British woman who died in Germany [and] are in touch with the local authorities.”
