A MAJOR American fast food chain that fans think is way better than Subway is coming to the UK.
The US eatery is set to launch its first British location this autumn as it arrives in the capital.

With over 3,000 locations across the United States, Jersey Mike’s is a popular go-to for many Americans.
The sandwich giant serves up freshly-made subs, wraps, salads and more – and was founded way back in 1956 in New Jersey.

With a cult status in the fast food world across the pond, Jersey Mike’s is known for splashing its sandwiches in its signature “juice”.
It’s essentially a tasty concoction of red wine vinegar and oil that packs a flavoursome punch and perfectly complements the made-to-order sandwiches.

Many fans of the Jersey Mike’s are certain that it’s much better than rival sandwich shop, Subway.
“Jersey Mike’s is light years ahead of Subway. It’s worth the money,” one Reddit poster declared.
“There’s no comparing the two, Jersey Mike’s is leagues ahead,” agreed another.
A third chipped in to say: “I used to work at Jersey Mike’s in college. They take having fresh, quality ingredients very seriously. The food is as legit as it gets for a sub shop.”
“There is no comparison!! Jersey Mike’s destroys Subway,” another commenter wrote.
For Brits dying to give it a go, Jersey Mike’s will debut in London later this year, taking its place on Argyll Street, just off of Oxford Street.
There’s a range of hot and cold subs on the Jersey Mike’s US menu and we imagine the UK branch will boast the same delicious offerings.
With both hot and cold subs on offer, there’s the likes of California Chicken Cheese Steak, The Original Italian, BLT and Turkey and Provolone and way more to pick from.
You can also ask for any sandwich to be made “Mike’s Way”, to level it up with onions, lettuce and tomatoes, finished with the “juice” and signature spices.
Any sub can be served as a wrap or a bowl, for something a little lighter, too.
Speaking about the exciting new UK launch, Peter Cancro, founder and chairman of Jersey Mike’s Subs, said: “Jersey Mike’s has always been about making a great sub, taking care of our customers and giving back to the communities we’re part of.
“I’m incredibly excited to bring that same spirit to the UK. We’ve spent decades building this brand in America, and now we’re ready to introduce a whole new audience to what we mean when we say ‘a Sub Above’.”
